The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will soon release the official notification for the RBI Grade B recruitment 2024. This notification will be published in newspapers starting from July, 2024.
Prospective candidates are advised to begin their preparation early as the entire recruitment process is expected to be completed within six months after the notification release.

RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the RBI Grade B exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Age Limit: The minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum age is 30 years. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms.
Educational Qualification:
- For the General post: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- For DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research) and DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management) posts: A master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, MBA, or equivalent.
Number of Attempts:
- General category candidates: Maximum of 6 attempts.
- SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates: No restriction on the number of attempts.
Salary: The RBI Grade B Officer salary ranges between 12-14 Lac annually. The exact pay scale is Rs. 55,200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2)-86550-3300(4)-99750, with a gross monthly salary of approximately Rs. 1,16,914.
RBI Grade B Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for RBI Grade B 2024 involves three stages:
Phase I (Preliminary Exam):
- This phase consists of objective-type questions covering the English language, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and general awareness.
- Total marks: 200
- Duration: 120 minutes
- The exam is conducted online and is qualifying in nature.
Phase II (Main Exam):
- Candidates who qualify in Phase I will appear for Phase II.
- Phase II comprises three papers:
- Paper I: Economic and Social Issues
- Paper II: English (Writing Skills)
- Paper III: Finance and Management
- Paper I and III are 50% objective and 50% descriptive, while Paper II is entirely descriptive.
Interview:
- Candidates who clear Phase II are called for an interview.
- The interview carries 75 marks.

Phase I (Preliminary Exam):
- Subjects: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Reasoning.
- Questions: 200
- Marks: 200
- Duration: 120 minutes
Phase II (Main Exam):
- For General post:
- Paper I: Economic & Social Issues (Objective and Descriptive)
- Paper II: English (Writing Skills)
- Paper III: Finance and Management (Objective and Descriptive)
- For DEPR & DSIM posts:
- Paper I and Paper II specific to the respective fields.
- Each paper carries 100 marks.
RBI Grade B Syllabus 2024
Phase I:
- General Awareness: Banking & Financial sector, Current Affairs, National and International events.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Questions of mains exam level of bank exams.
- English Language: Questions of mains exam level of bank exams.
- Reasoning: Questions of mains exam level of bank exams.
Phase II:
- Economic and Social Issues: Growth & Development, Indian Economy, Globalisation, Social Structure.
- Finance and Management: Financial System, Financial Markets, Management, Ethics at workplace, Accounts.
- English Descriptive: Essay writing, precis writing.

The application process involves the following stages:

- SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 100 plus GST
- Gen/OBC/EWS: Rs. 850 plus GST
