It’s a grate opportunity for those who have been waiting for the huge vacancies to come out in the financial year of 2025-26. This time, there is a vacancy of close to 5 thousand and it’s a Group C post. So, if you have completed your Class 10th standard, you can apply for the post.

Educational Qualification: If you want to apply for the IB Security Assistant job in 2025, you must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board. Also, you should know how to speak and understand the local language of the state or union territory where you are applying.

IB Security Assistant Selection Criteria 2025
If you want to get the IB Security Assistant job in 2025, you have to go through five steps. These steps are like different tests to check if you are actually fit for the job.
- Tier 1 – Written Exam (Objective type):
In this first test, you will get questions with options (like A, B, C, D). You have to choose the correct answer. The questions will be from subjects like:
- General Awareness (like news, history, geography, etc.)
- Reasoning (puzzles, number patterns, etc.)
- English (basic grammar, vocabulary, etc.)
- Tier 2 – Translation Test (Descriptive paper):
- In this test, you have to translate a short paragraph from English to your local language, and another one from your local language to English. This test checks how well you know both languages.
- Tier 3 – Interview or Personality Test:
- In this round, officers will talk to you to check how well you can speak, how confident you are and if you are the right person for the job or not.
- Document Check (Verification):
- If you clear all the abovee tests, they will check all your documents like your mark sheets, ID, and certificates to make sure everything is correct.
- Medical Test:
- This is the final step of your selection process. A doctor will check your health to make sure you are fit and healthy to do this job.
So, in order to get the job finally, you have to go through all the steps one by one.
IB Security Assistant Exam Pattern 2025: Tier I – Objective Type Test (Computer-Based Test)
This test will be done on the computer. It has 100 questions. Each correct answer you make will give you 1 mark. If you give a wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Tier II – Descriptive Test
This is a written test and here, you have to translate a 500-word paragraph from local language/dialect to English as well as from English to local language/ dialect.

You should remember that this test is only for qualifying nature. That means, the marks you will get here won’t count in the final merit list but you have to clear it anyway.
Tier III – Interview / Personality Test
- This is the final round of the selection process. If you are able to clear Tier 2 exam, you will be called for an interview. Here, the selection panel will check how well you speak both the languages, how confident you are and are you really suitable for the job or not.
- The total marks of the Interview round is 50. You will be finally selected on the basis of marks you get in total of Tire 1 and Tire 3.

- The IB Security Assistant exam in 2025 will be held into three different stages – Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III. In Tier I, you will give an online test that has 100 multiple-choice questions.
- Questions will come from five subjects – General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Math), Reasoning, English and General Studies.
- Each subject will have 20 questions and you will get 1 hour to finish the test. If you give a wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- If you pass this stage, you will go to Tier II where you have to translate a 500-word paragraph from English to your local language and also from your local language to English. This test is written and you will get 1 hour to finish the exam.
- After that, you have to appear for the Tier III exam which is an interview round basically. In the interview round, the officers will interact you to check how well you speak, how confident you are and how much general knowledge you have.
- This round is for 50 marks. You must pass each stage one by one. The final result will depend on how well you do in Tier I and Tier III.
- Tier II is only a qualifying exam, so its marks will not be counted in the final merit list.

- Register Online:
- First of all, go to the official website of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
- Next, Click on the registration link and fill in your basic details like your name, mobile number and email ID.
- As soon as you tap on the submit button, you will get an Application Sequence Number and a Password on your email. Keep it to your safe place.
- Fill the Application Form:
- Now, you have to log in again using the Application Number and Password.
- Select your category (like General, OBC, SC, etc.).

- You have to upload your passport-size photo (100–200 KB) and signature (80–150 KB). These should be in JPG or JPEG format.

- If you are a male candidate from General, OBC, or EWS category, you have to pay Rs. 100/- as exam fee + 550 Rs as processing fee = Rs. 650/- total.
- All other candidates (SC/ST, female, ex-servicemen) only have to pay the Rs. 550/- as a processing fee.
- You can pay the fee online using your Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or e-challan.
- If you choose the e-challan option to pay your application fees, download it and pay at the bank within 4 days and before 19 August 2025.
- Final Submission:
- Before you tap on the submit button finally, check all the details carefully to make sure everything you have provided is correct.
- After checking, submit the form.
- Download and save or print the final application form so that you can use it in the near future.
