The Official notification is still live on the official website of CBSE. CBSE Various Stages of Exam and it’s Basic Overview
The selection process is very straight forward. The first stage of selection process is the Written examination based on the Objective Type Question format. If you are able to clear the cut off of Tire 1 exam, you will be called for the Skill Test which will be based on the Computer Typing Test. CBSE Junior Assistant Syllabus General Overview
The CBSE Junior Assistant Exam 2025 was held on 20th April 2025 (Sunday) in offline mode using an OMR sheet. The exam had 100 questions and the total time alloted for the exam was 2 hours. You will get 3 marks for each correct answer and you loose 1 mark for every wrong answer. The questions were asked from topics like current affairs, general awareness, reasoning, basic maths (in Hindi and English), general Hindi and English, computer knowledge, and information about school education and CBSE’s working principle.
After the written test, a typing skill test will be conducted in order to make final merit list for the selected candidates. CBSE Junior Assistant Exam Pattern 2025
The Junior Assistant exam has a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The paper is divided into 5 parts. You will get only 2 hours to complete the paper.
You will get 3 marks if you make a right answer. There is negative marking in the exam. So, 1 mark will be cut for each wrong answer. You don’t earn any marks if you skips any question.
If you choose more than one option, it will be considered as wrong and 1 mark will be deducted for it. You have to choose only one answer for each question.

CBSE Junior Assistant Exam Self Preparation Strategy
In order to clear the exam, you have to make a study plan first and set a daily as well as a weekly targets. You have to follow the previous year question papers to get an idea about the exam. After that, Try to cover the whole syllabus specially the important topics first within a limited time frame. After finishing the whole syllabus once or twice, you have to practice previous paper to evaluate in which section of the syllabus you are strong enough and what is the weaker section you need to focus more to have a good score.
You have to select less but exam oriented important and reliable study materials as well as NCERT Books to strengthen your preparation. You are instructed to read newspapers and the monthly current affairs also. Try to take at least one mock test regularly which will improve speed and accuracy in the upcoming exam for sure.
