A total of 169 vacancies for Group B and 40 vacancies for Group C have been announced. The administrative board of the Jawaharlal Institute aims to fill multiple vacancies, such as Nursing Officer, Medical Laboratory Technologist, Junior Engineer, Technical Assistant, Dental Mechanic, Anaesthesia Technician, Stenographer Grade-II, and Junior Administrative Assistant posts, for qualified individuals to contribute to the healthcare sectors of JIPMER.

JIPMER Group B & C Exam Pattern 2024
To excel in the examination, candidates must familiarize themselves with the latest exam pattern for the JIPMER Group B and C Exam. - Each question will carry 4 marks.
- For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

JIPMER Group B & C Skill Test
The skill assessment test for the posts mentioned below is of qualifying nature:
Junior Translation Officer – The skill test will have two passages for translation—one passage for translation from Hindi to English and one passage for translation from English to Hindi, to test the candidate’s translation skills and their ability to write and comprehend the two languages precisely on a computer. The duration of the skill test is 2 hours.
Stenographer Grade-II – The candidates will be given 10 minutes at the speed of 80 w.p.m. The topic will have to be transcribed on the computer within 50 minutes.
Junior Administrative Assistant –
- Part A: Typing a letter/passage/paragraph on a computer (25 marks). With a typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English and 30 w.p.m in Hindi only on a computer (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
- Part B: Preparation of Table/Database in MS Excel. The total marks will be 50 and the duration is 20 minutes for two parts. The candidates shall be given the text in the question paper, which they have to type in the answer sheet, including formatting of text. The qualifying marks will be 25 out of 50 marks, and candidates have to obtain 50% marks separately for Part A and B.
Orthopaedic Technician/Anesthesia Technician/Audiology Technician – Approximately 4 to 8 stations will be created to evaluate the skill-based performance of the candidates on various instruments.
